Job summary

Sharp Services, LLC in Allentown, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot a range of production machines used to package life science products. You will follow established procedures, read HMIs, and work with the Line Leader to keep materials flowing.

The role emphasizes quality, equipment upkeep, and accurate log entries. You will clear jams, replace consumables, verify lot numbers and expiration dates, and maintain a clean work area as part of a collaborative

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machines and maintain quality of packaging within assigned Center of Excellence.
• Maintain vigilance to the quality of the packaging process and report issues to the mechanic in a timely manner.
• Clear jams, change labels, replace ribbons, films, tape, neck band material, cotton and adjust accordingly.
• Record necessary data on all machine logs, downtime reports, and material yield logs.
• Check quality Lot# Exp Date of packages and assist with equipment challenges.
• Read and understand Human Machine Interface screens and alarms.
• Communicate with Line Leader and Material Handlers to ensure production components are not in short supply.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot a variety of assigned machines and will also be responsible for inspecting components to specifications. Operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Machine Operator position. Other duties may also be assigned.

Effectively operate a variety of machines and maintain quality of packaging within assigned Center of Excellence.

Maintain a constant vigilance to the quality of the packaging process and reports issues when they arise in a timely manner to the mechanic

Clears jams, changes labels, replaces ribbons, films, tape, neck band material, cotton and adjusts accordingly.

Records necessary date as required on all machine logs, downtime reports, and material yield logs.

Checks quality Lot# Exp Date of packages in assigned room and assists with equipment challenges.

Reads and understands Human Machine Interface screens and alarms.

Communicate with Line Leader and Material Handlers to ensure all production components are never in shortage.

Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area.
