Job Title: Production Machine Operator/Assembler

Job Overview:
The Production Machine Operator/Assembler will work under the guidance of senior operators to learn and perform a variety of tasks related to machine operation, part assembly, and quality assurance. This position involves hands-on work with equipment, blueprints, and raw materials to meet production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines, equipment, and production fixtures following guidance from senior operators.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine instructions and part specifications.
- Monitor the inventory of chemicals, materials, and supplies needed for production processes.
- Assemble parts and raw materials according to blueprints, meeting both quality and quantity objectives. May operate soldering equipment as needed.
- Align and position parts in specified relationships, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Verify part accuracy using measuring equipment and gauges.
- Complete and maintain necessary production paperwork.
- Understand and strive to meet daily production goals and targets.
- Perform quality checks on parts or adjust processes to ensure optimal manufacturing results.
- Rotate through various departmental jobs as assigned within the classification.
- Participate in required training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Take on special projects as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good or corrected eyesight to ensure the quality of work.
- Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
- Comfortable working with a variety of glues, solvents, and chemicals.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic math skills for addition and subtraction of 2-3 digit numbers.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, engineering drawings, and company policies.
- Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) eligibility requirements.
