Job summary

Maker's Pride in Minnesota (Lakeville) is seeking a Machine Operator Level I to run packaging equipment, perform set-ups, and ensure GMP-compliant operations. You will identify acceptable product quality and perform wash and changeover tasks while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires good math and communication skills, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Sufficient math skills to calculate quantities of material for orders.
• Good organizational and communication skills to prioritize work and communicate changes to line workers.

Job Summary

The Machine Operator performs set-ups, makes minor adjustments and operates packaging equipment. Identifies acceptable or unacceptable product quality per customer requirements. Performs wash and changeover of equipment. Machine Operators will need to be reliable and able to work with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and the HACCP program or willing to learn.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
• Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted.
• Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.

Starting Pay: Machine Operator Level I $23.40/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
