Job description

Machine Operator candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work their bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

The tasks include, but are not limited to, general housekeeping, cleanup, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, operating a motorized forklift, preparing packaging, packaging products, and other duties as assigned by supervision.

Responsibilities also include keeping lines stocked with packaging materials, filling out appropriate paperwork related to CCPs, production, and packaging materials, and performing basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.

Candidates should have knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line, communicate with supervisors regarding line issues, and report or resolve quality issues observed during operation.

Proper start-up, operation, shutdown, tear down, cleaning, and reassembling of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment are essential skills.

Knowledge of chemical handling procedures including PPE requirements, understanding of process flow from source tank to filling, and basic knowledge of pumps, valves, and filter changes are necessary.

The candidate must successfully pass the qualification test for the Operator 2 role.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge related to data entry and documentation
