Silver-Line Plastics LLC is a manufacturer of high-quality plastic pipes, offering products such as PVC, CPVC, PE, and PEX, with modern production facilities in Asheville, North Carolina; Lawton, Oklahoma; and Fort Pierce, Florida. As part of the IPEX group, Silver-Line is recognized for innovation, timely delivery, and personalized service.

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator based in Lawton, OK, reporting to the Production Manager. The starting pay is $22.66/hour, and the role requires working 12-hour shifts, either days or nights.

Job Summary

We seek an energetic individual with attention to detail and a positive attitude. The candidate will prioritize safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Assist in operating extruders and related equipment, with training provided.
2. Perform quality checks on pipes using micrometers, calibers, and tape measures.
3. Package pipes accurately and document production details.
4. Operate basic hand tools and forklifts.
5. Identify, transfer, and load materials for production.
6. Inspect for unsafe conditions and report hazards.
7. Identify and report scrap in accordance with work instructions.
8. Troubleshoot issues and determine appropriate solutions.
9. Support the Joint, Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
10. Maintain clean and safe working conditions.
11. Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Experience in manufacturing, especially plastics or extrusion, is a plus.
3. Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems and basic math.
4. Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
5. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Self-motivated with good communication skills and eagerness to learn.
7. Team player capable of fostering a positive environment.
8. Flexibility to work 12-hour continental shifts (9:00 - 9:00, 84 hours bi-weekly).

Working Conditions

1. Manufacturing environment with physical labor, lifting up to 50 lbs.
2. Standing for 12 hours shifts.
3. Use of hand tools.
4. High sensory attention required.
