Job description

Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.45 an hour + $0.75 shift differential

We are hiring for a Machine Operator to help produce biscuits, hotcakes, and McGriddles at our Louisville, KY facility. You will report to the department Team Lead.

  • 3rd shift - 10p-6a
  • Location: Onsite at our Louisville, KY plant
  • Hourly Rate: $22.45 +0.75, overtime as scheduled (daily and weekend)

A Day in the Life of a Machine Operator:

  • You will operate various machines and equipment, prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Complete quality checks and documentation, observing standard work. Operate equipment within quality expectations, including code dates, packaging materials, product standards, and metal detector checks.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production Supervisors, and Coordinators to support production demand and maintain product quality standards.
  • Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and Conagra's policies.
  • Be aware of food safety risks and escalate any found risks to the lead/supervisor.
  • Perform all assigned cleaning and preventative maintenance responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience (ideal)
  • Knowledge of GMPs and safety (ideal)
  • Ability to understand basic machine operations and settings
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push or pull objects exerting up to 10 pounds frequently
