Job summary

Lafarge & Egge in Everett, WA is seeking an entry level Aerospace Manufacturing Machine Operator I to join our day shift (5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.). You will operate CNC tube bending and deburring equipment and receive comprehensive on-the-job training.

No prior tubing experience is required; transferable skills in mechanics or aerospace manufacturing are welcome. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume environment with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tube deburring equipment and fitting installation equipment
  • Fabricate, handle, and move materials to meet production schedules and lead times
  • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime
  • Ensure all products meet aerospace quality and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

About the Role:

We are seeking an entry level aerospace manufacturing Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team on a dayshift schedule (5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating CNC tube bending and deburring equipment. While this position involves tube manufacturing, prior experience, specifically in tubing or tubing equipment is not required. We provide comprehensive, on-the-job training for all of our equipment and processes. We are primarily seeking candidates with transferable skills such as machine operation, mechanical aptitude, or aerospace manufacturing experience who are eager to learn and grow within our specialized production environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace manufacturing exposure
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to mechanical systems.
  • Previous experience working in a high mix low volume production environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Time management and adherence to production schedules
  • Material handling and shop floor workflow coordination
  • Safety awareness in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and documentation
  • Manufacturing floor, and test environments
  • May require occasional extended hours to support schedules, testing, or deadlines
  • Noise level has the potential to reach 89.4 decibels, which requires OSHA approved ear protection
  • Standard PPE is required (company provided)
