Job Title: Machine Operator ($1,500 Sign-On Bonus!) (Finance)

Job Description:

The Care and Treats Operator provides Mars Petcare Mattoon with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely package high-quality finished products according to Quality standards and production schedules. This role ensures our customers receive the proper product at the right destination in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications:

• Ability and willingness to develop and manage oneself, demonstrate self-directed workgroup leadership, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high, and/or confined spaces, with full mobility to climb ladders and stairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform duties on a modified 3X5 rotational basis working 12-hour shifts in the Care and Treat packaging hall, including line operation, changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality checks. Specific tasks include:

• Operating flow wrappers, KHS and Roberts FF&S, Somic case packers, and palletizers.
• Monitoring product flow, meeting cut-off and tone requirements.
• Entering work orders into the MIS system and supporting maintenance calls.

Maintain a clean, safe work environment, actively address food safety and quality concerns, and promote teamwork and problem-solving to improve operations.

The starting pay range is USD 19.84 - USD 27.28, with potential variations based on experience and location. Benefits may include variable pay, medical and dental coverage, 401k participation, and paid time off, depending on the position and schedule.
