Job Summary

Hiring for 3rd shift; may be required to train on a different shift. This role is an on‑site machine operator position at a Pratt & Whitney facility in Middletown, PA.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of production machines including CMM, polish wheel, grinding machines, and EDM.
• Read and interpret process sheets.
• Deburr and clean parts.
• Make minor offset changes under oversight when required.
• Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document results.
• Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and use the communication log.
• Move about the machine line (approximately 90% of the time) to operate various manufacturing equipment.
• Transport product or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product at the standard rate.
• Carry out additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this position to support department objectives and develop skills.

Qualifications (Required)

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Proficiency with machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Aptitude for mathematics, including the ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a machine operator.
