Job summary

Maharam in New York is seeking a warehouse associate to operate turret truck and order picker equipment, pick textile rolls, stock shelves, and load/unload trucks. With general supervision, you will move ordered product through the warehouse to shipping and lift up to 70 lbs as needed.

We offer a competitive hourly wage and benefits starting on day one, including a 401(k) plan. Qualified applicants will read, write and speak English fluently and have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Summary

With general supervision, operate machines to move ordered product through the warehouse to shipping.

Essential Functions

• Operate turret truck and/or order picker machines
• Pick textile rolls from shelves and move to order processing staging area
• Return unused rolls of textiles back to shelves
• Stock shelves with newly received textile rolls
• Load and unload trucks
• Lift up to 70 lbs. when necessary

Magnitude and Relationship Reporting

This position reports to the Warehouse supervisors and may receive additional assignments from the Warehouse Manager.

Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization

This position typically will have contact with all other warehouse employees, and some contact with other departments. Receiving personnel would have contact with truckers.

Knowledge And Skills

• Self motivated
• Knowledge of UPS online system a plus
• Hilo and power jack experience required
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented
• Able to work independently
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $20.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
