Job summary

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines (CNC, brake press, saw, etc.).
• Read blueprints and job orders for product specs and tooling instructions.
• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy.
• Keep the shop area safe, clean and organized.
• Ensure proper placement of tools at shift end.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator position will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment within our machine shop. They will adhere to all Morbark safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions Of The Job

• Ability to set up and operate various macines (CNC, Brake Press, Saw, etc.)
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
• Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.
• Keep the workplace safe, clean and organized.
• Ensure proper placement of tools at the end of each shift.
• Responsibilities may change; be added or deleted to support the needs of the department.
