Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Red Bud Operator to safely set up and operate leveling, sheeting, and console equipment to produce flat sheets according to customer specs. You will read engineered layouts and orders to guide production, while observing safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, production-oriented, with basic math and crane operation knowledge, plus comfort with measuring devices and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety-conscious.

• Experience with precision instruments preferred; teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate leveling, sheeting, and console-operated equipment to level length and stack weigh flat sheets per customer requirements.
• Read from customer orders, engineered layouts, and general instructions to perform duties.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and ensure compliance from coworkers and visitors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
