Job summary

CMC America, LLC in Wickliffe, OH is seeking a Machine Operator to join our on-site manufacturing team. This full-time role supports corrugate production with a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, and involves operating and monitoring machinery to meet production and quality targets.

You will follow SOPs, maintain a safe workplace, document production data, and collaborate with maintenance and supervisors.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring corrugate machines on a daily basis to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves ensuring machines are running smoothly, maintaining a steady production pace, and meeting quality standards. The operator will follow established procedures and safety guidelines while working in a team environment to achieve production goals

What We’re Looking For

• Operate and monitor production machinery according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure machines are functioning correctly, reporting and addressing any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machines to prevent downtime.
• Follow production schedules of products for quality assurance, removing defective items as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and maintenance performed.
• Communicate effectively with team members, shift supervisors, and maintenance personnel to resolve production issues.
• Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-2 (one to two) years’ experience operating corrugate manufacturing machinery.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with production metrics and quality control processes is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
