Job Description:

The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Milwaukee, WI manufacturing plant for a CNC Machine Operator to join our team!

Shift: Second Shift 2:30pm – 11:00pm M-F

Hourly Wage: $20.00 - $23.00/hour based on experience plus a 15% shift premium.

Plant/Work Location: 809 Philip Drive Waukesha, WI 53186

Department: Fabrication

The Gund Company is the industry leader in manufacturing and fabricating customized insulation components (parts) for multiple applications. We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering). The Gund Company is in the business of engineered material manufacturing.

We are looking for an experienced CNC set-up Operator with Haas experience.

Job Summary
  • Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements.
  • Ensure machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards.
  • Set up, adjust, identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools.
  • Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.
Job Duties
  • Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment and tools using CNC machining centers to manufacture a variety of custom parts.
  • Follow written instructions and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.
  • Check parts for conformance to customer specifications.
  • Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required.
  • Participate in cross-training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of machine operation experience, required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED, not required.

Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Work Environment
  • Not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
  • Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles, may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
  • May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
