Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Waco, TX is seeking a qualified production operator to perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment, ensure a high quality product, and conduct quality checks to verify dimensions and defects.

You will lead the machine crew with setups and changeovers, solve problems that arise, and complete required reports, while contributing to safety, attendance and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong safety background and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow.
• Ensure a high quality product is coming off the machine.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects.
• Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
• Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
• Complete necessary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
