Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a 3rd shift operator in Gallatin, TN. The role pays $27.56 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, plus a strong safety mindset and teamwork.

The operator will run production equipment, lead setup/changeovers, perform quality checks, and complete reports. The candidate should be able to work nights/weekends, have good communication, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
• Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
• Complete necessary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: 1440 Airport Rd Gallatin, TN

Shift: 3rd (11pm-7am, starting Sunday night)

Pay Rate: $27.56

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow.
• Ensure a high quality product is coming off the machine.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects.
• Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
• Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
• Complete necessary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong safety background and good attendance record.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and be good communicator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $27.56 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 1 week per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
