Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining machinery to ensure continuous production of high-quality products. This role is essential to our operations, and the ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment according to the operating manual and training guidelines.
• Monitor machines to ensure stability and regularly check for signs of malfunction or irregularities.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Promptly address and troubleshoot mechanical issues you have been trained to resolve and notify the supervisor for complex problems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S) of the work area to comply with safety regulations.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment.
• Record and report production data accurately, including machine performance and product quality.
• Assist in adjusting machine settings for different production batches.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve efficiency, quality, and overall production flow.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and stay updated with machine operations.
• Cross-train in production areas to fill operational gaps.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong understanding of machine mechanics and the operational process
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Technical certification or training in machine operation or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
