Job summary

Zobility is seeking a Bracing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain roll-forming machinery used to shape metal coils into precise profiles. You will install roller dies, adjust parameters for thickness and speed, and ensure parts meet blueprints and tolerances, while following strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities include line operation, monitoring, quality checks with calipers and micrometers, and routine preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or roll-forming operation.
• Blueprints/SAP/MES: read blueprints, SAP work orders, navigate MES system, interpret technical drawings.
• Tools: proficient with calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Install and align roller dies on spindles, load coils, and adjust settings for thickness, speed, and shear.
• Production Monitoring: Run the roll-forming line with continuous material feed, lubrication, and precise cut-to-length.
• Quality Control: Perform first-off inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specs.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily PM, clean, oil, grease, and troubleshoot jams or misalignment.
• Safety Adherence: Follow safety protocols including LOTO and PPE.

• A Bracing Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains specialized machinery to shape metal coils into specific profiles, ensuring production quality and efficiency.
• Key responsibilities include installing roller dies, adjusting machine settings, monitoring for defects, performing routine preventive maintenance, and interpreting blueprints to meet strict dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Install and align roller dies (tooling) on spindles, load steel/metal coils using cranes or forklifts, and adjust settings for thickness, speed, and shear.
• Production Monitoring: Run the roll-forming line, ensuring continuous material feed, proper lubrication, and accurate cut-to-length functionality.
• Quality Control: Perform first-off inspections, using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and tape measures to verify that finished products match blueprints and specs.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily preventive maintenance (cleaning, oiling, greasing) and troubleshoot issues like jamming, roller wear, or misalignment.
• Safety Adherence: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE usage.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or specific roll-forming machine operation.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, SAP work orders, navigate MES system, and interpret technical drawings.
• Tools: Proficiency in using hand tools (wrenches), measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, tape measure, micrometer), and potentially overhead cranes.
• Physical Strength: Capability to lift materials (often up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
