Job summary

ABR Employment Services is seeking an experienced Machine Operator in Weston, Wisconsin. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce parts per specifications. You will read blueprints, verify programs, and ensure quality through measurement and inspection.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM with no weekend work. This is a hands‑on CNC machining environment where you can grow your technical skills and contribute to a strong team.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating CNC equipment and performing setups.
  • Ability to inspect parts to specification using precision tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC production equipment (lathes, grinders, mills).
  • Load and verify CNC programs and perform some conversational programming.
  • Read blueprints and job specs; adjust tooling as needed.
  • Produce parts within specs and tolerances; perform deburring and finishing.
  • Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools for quality.

Machine Operator
Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM | NO WEEKENDS
$20-22 per hour
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Machine Operator to join our team! This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery while producing quality parts that meet established specifications and tolerances. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in quality, and can work independently while being part of a strong team.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC production equipment, including lathes, grinders, mills, and similar machinery.
  • Load and verify CNC programs and perform some conversational programming.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, prints, drawings, and job specifications.
  • Set up and change tooling according to job requirements.
  • Produce parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Deburr and finish completed parts.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance, including cleaning, coolant replacement, and greasing.
  • Maintain production logs, tooling lists, and feeds and speeds charts.
  • Maintain an organized library of approved CNC programs.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining tool inventory by working with tool vendors.
  • Communicate with other departments to help maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all applicable OSHA and environmental safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and committed to quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to assist in other roles or departments when needed.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or related computer software.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while operating machinery and using tools.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use hands and arms for precision work, including gripping, pinching, holding, and maneuvering parts and tools.
  • Ability to read instructions, operate machinery, and visually inspect finished parts.
