Position Overview

Seeking a skilled Operator and Setup Technician to handle the operation, setup, and monitoring of industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment performance, conducting basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prior experience with TRUMPF machines, including setup and programming, is highly desirable.
  • Follow detailed verbal and written instructions to perform inspections using approved measurement tools and gauges.
  • Set up and run a variety of equipment including punching and press brakes, as well as precision machines like grinders and shapers, to produce components within tight tolerances.
  • Carry out post-processing tasks such as deburring, tapping, and fine-tuning as needed.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan work sequences and determine cutting paths and setups.
  • Assemble components with precision and identify necessary tools, materials, and parts for each task.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, always adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks and support operations as directed by supervisors or team leads.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and comfort using tools like calipers for exact measurements.
  • Ability to comprehend and work from technical schematics is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with finishing techniques and equipment for surface prep and final touches.

Job Details

  • Position: Full-Time
  • Pay Range: $17.54 – $27.00 per hour
  • Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • Morning shifts (8 hours)
  • Occasional weekend availability required
