Job summary

Kelly Services in Horseheads, NY is seeking a Machine Operator to join a premier manufacturing client. The position is on the 3rd shift (10pm-6am), Sunday to Thursday, offering growth in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating equipment for medical device production, performing quality checks, maintaining 5S cleanliness, and following safety policies. A high school diploma and 1–3 months of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required job-related certifications.
• Detail oriented, safety proactive, and committed to a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment producing medical devices.
• Manually assemble systems using torque drivers and hardware to meet production targets.
• Perform functional testing according to work processes.
• Pull materials from flow racks, perform back-flush operations on computer systems.
• Conduct physical inventory in designated areas.
• Maintain 5S order and workplace cleanliness at all times.
• Adhere to safety rules and wear required protective equipment.

What’s a typical day as Machine Operator? You’ll be:

• Setting up and operating manufacturing equipment that produces medical devices
• Manually assembling systems using torque drivers and hardware, achieving predetermined production volumes
• Conducting functional testing of assembled systems according to work processes
• Pulling necessary materials from flow racks and bin locations and performing back flush operations on computer operating systems
• Conducting physical inventory in designated areas
• Maintaining 5S order and cleanliness at all times
• Adhering to all safety rules and using required protective equipment
• Following procedures within the company security policy
