Title: CNC Machining Router Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining computer numerically controlled (CNC) routers to cut and shape various materials into specified forms, shapes, and sizes. Ensures all products are of the highest quality and meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Follow setup, shutdown, and operation instructions.
  • Perform changeovers and replace tooling as required.
  • Read and interpret drawings and shop routings.
  • Complete all work per the work order.
  • Ensure quality standards are met. Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements.
  • Perform design maintenance tasks and maintain a clean work area.
  • Have a basic understanding of wood species.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Use a tape measure and calipers accurately.
  • Perform to production standards.
  • Identify common quality defects in materials.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Lift objects in excess of 30 lbs safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Possess basic math and computer skills; understanding of CAD/CAM is a plus.
  • Operate CNC machinery skillfully is a plus.
  • Work well with other employees.
  • Follow safety guidelines.
