Job summary

MITER Brands in Fife, WA is hiring a Pultrusion Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring pultrusion equipment to manufacture reinforced composite materials. You will load raw materials, adjust process parameters, inspect products for quality, perform routine maintenance, document production data, and ensure a clean, safe 5S-compliant work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work overtime; forklift

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.
  • Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate pultrusion machinery, including creels, resin baths, heaters, pullers, and cut-off saws.
  • Load raw materials such as fiberglass reinforcements, resins, and additives into the production line.
  • Monitor equipment performance and adjust process parameters to meet specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, including dimensions, surface defects, and structural integrity.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or supervisory staff.
  • Accurately document production data, downtime, and material usage.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Assist with changeovers, tooling adjustments, and process improvements.
