Job description

Starting in our Production department means you're ready to be there for your team, through regular attendance and a steadfast commitment to safe work practices. This position assists with the production, packaging, and quality of various roofing products.

Here are the details:

1. Performs inventory control functions and required paperwork.
2. Learn and understand the positions in the Level I position.
3. Embrace quality standards and perform checks on the line to ensure quality shingles are being produced.
4. Maintain open and consistent communications with the shift supervisor as well as the line inspector.
5. Cleans work area and equipment.
6. Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

The work environment can include the following:

1. Working near moving mechanical parts.
2. Extreme heat or cold (both weather & non-weather).
3. Fumes or airborne particles.
4. Vibrations.
5. Exposure to loud noise.

This position is physically demanding and requires the following:

1. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
2. Reach with hands and arms.
3. Talk and listen.
4. Stand, walk and sit.
5. Bend at the waist.
6. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
7. Regular attendance is required.

Additional requirements include the ability to perform basic math and use a measuring tape.

Local Wages: Production Level I Machine Operator range is $23.79, with the opportunity for pay progression up to Level V with the required training and tenure.
