The Position

Our Machine Operators main objectives are to safely and accurately set up, adjust, and operate assigned machines and auxiliary equipment to produce wire and wire products.

Duties:

1. Read, understand and follow production schedule. Interpret and follow basic written instructions, drawings, and documents.
2. Perform setups on assigned machine(s).
3. Detect and report faulty processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Maintain standard housekeeping standards.
5. Observe all safety rules including reporting of all industrial accidents and any unsafe conditions.
6. Check with lead person at beginning of shift to determine the production schedule.
7. Set-up and maintain wire drawing machines according to production schedule and quality standards – making minor adjustments, as necessary.
8. Load rod coils onto drawing machine payoffs.
9. Operate and run machine to produce a finished product.
10. Perform quality inspections on a regular basis throughout shift.
11. Perform other duties as requested.

1. Basic understanding of production and machine operation.
2. Ability to use tools and precision equipment.
3. Must have excellent attendance and work record.
4. Must be able to work/communicate well in a team environment.
5. Must be able to work in cold/hot temperature.
