Machine Operator

Job Schedule and Pay

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 4:00 am - 2:30 pm

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Job Description

• Perform pre-operation machine inspections, load screws and hinges, and sort door stacks.
• Use mallet to loosen doors, load hinge machine with bifold door panels, and ensure hardware alignment and application.
• Manage reject doors for repair and remakes, and perform lockout/tagout procedures, including air gun use during cleanup.
• Read and interpret tickets and schedules, understand door species and core, and conduct visual quality checks.
• Operate bifold machine, repair doors with putty, touch up paint, and use sanding paper.
• Read tape measurements to 1/32 inch, ensure quality standards, and work with minimal supervision to maintain packaging stock.
• Ensure all doors meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 80 lbs., bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and standing for long periods.
• Maintain focus on measurement accuracy and visual quality inspection in a fast-paced environment.
