Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring Machine Operators to join our production teams in a fast-paced meat processing environment. You will operate meat cutting and packaging equipment, ensuring products meet safety and quality standards and that a clean, efficient work area is maintained.

Candidates should be able to follow written and oral instructions, work a scheduled shift, and be prepared for overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Proficient reading and following instructions, safety procedures and work instructions
• Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery and tools used in meat processing

Responsibilities

• Operate meat cutting/packaging machines and related equipment to process meat products
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workstation and follow sanitation guidelines
• Comply with safety policies and quality standards; may work overtime as production demands require

These positions require technical knowledge of computerized equipment . Machine Operator positions are physically demanding and require good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Machine Operators must be able to work their scheduled shift and may be required to work overtime depending on production demands.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
