The Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC is currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join the Alamo Group Ag Americas Team in Selma, Alabama.

Position Summary

Bush Hog, RhinoAG, and Dixie Chopper are among the most recognized and successful brands in the agricultural and outdoor power equipment industries. The Machine Operator II is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Machine Operator II, under general supervision, will set up and run multiple production machines such as, but not limited to, presses, drill presses, threaders, press brakes, and rollers to perform repetitive operations or produce quality identical parts as specified by blueprints and procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
  • Set up, adjust and operate drill presses, presses, press brakes or roller machines to produce identical parts as specified by blueprints.
  • Maintain production quantity, efficiency and quality on produced parts.
  • Examine parts for quality compliance using blueprints, calipers, micrometers, tapes and high level math.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Locate and move parts as needed using a walk‑behind lift.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (tape measure, protractor, etc.).
  • High level math and reading skills needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and make minor decisions involving some judgment in carrying out instructions.
  • Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate under pressure.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year experience as a Machine Operator I required.
