Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking a team member to operate and maintain recycling machinery and equipment in our Otay Outlet. The role involves ensuring timely processing of donated merchandise and adhering to GISD policies.
Qualified candidates will have at least one year of related experience, a safety-minded approach, and the ability to obtain forklift certification. Work includes weekends and evenings, with collaboration across the team to achieve daily production goals.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Recycling machinery and equipment, including baler machine, trash compactor, and forklift. Ensures processing, of recycling merchandise in a timely manner. Understands the whole Otay Outlet operation while following GISD policies and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of one year related experience. Safety Oriented, mechanical experience preferred.
Skills commensurate with this position.
Must be able to be Forklift Certified
Some experience using manual tools such as screwdriver helpful but not necessary. Must be able to work 5 days per week, including weekends and evenings.
