Overview

Position: Machine Operator

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Location: St Paul, MN 55110

Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate knitting machines or related equipment based on production specifications
  • Monitor machine output, inspect products for quality and defects, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Make machine adjustments as needed, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and report larger problems to maintenance technicians
  • Perform daily or periodic maintenance and cleaning tasks, such as lubrication or changing needles/yarn
  • Comply with all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Log production numbers, reworks/errors, and relevant machine parameters
Work Environment & Requirements
  • The job requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of materials up to approximately 20 lbs, and frequent bending and reaching
  • Candidates should possess basic mechanical skills, the ability to interpret details, diagrams, and specifications, and basic math proficiency
  • Experience in manufacturing or textiles is helpful but not required; entry level candidates will receive appropriate training
