Job summary

Elite Staffing, Inc. in Roselle, IL is seeking a Machine Operator to run machines in the Coiling department and support with gauging, soldering, and quality checks. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety policies.

The position offers a temporary-to-hire path with background and drug testing. Shift options include early and late schedules. Applicants should have basic reading and math skills and be comfortable using simple measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Good command of the English language is beneficial for advancement.
• Must be able to read, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates and or assists with running machines in the Coiling department.
• Ability to use gauges to measure inner (ID) or outer (OD) diameters.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the set-up man or lead man.
• Soldering of core and re-work of product when needed.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements, bending/twisting conduit, lift/carry/move/push/pull material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to break/cut and trim ends of conduit with cutting tool.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
• Able to work overtime.
• Observe safety regulations and follow company policies.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Able to operate the time and attendance system.

$17.50/hr: Monday – Thursday

6am – 4:30pm

$19.25/hr: Monday – Thursday

4:30pm – 3:00am
