Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery, ensuring efficient performance.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Set up and operate carton flow related equipment following established procedures and guidelines.
- Adjust machine settings to meet task specifications and ensure accuracy.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards.
- Minimum of 1 year of packaging machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing English is required.
- Light lifting: Up to 20 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Significant walking or standing required; primarily sitting with some degree of pushing and pulling involved.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions, including temperature, noise, fumes, dust, and other environmental factors.
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and resolve issues as detected.
- Carry out changeovers from one format to another.
- Complete necessary pre-operation tasks to ensure proper startup and operation of multiple equipment pieces.
- Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment to maintain quality production and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of high-quality products with minimal waste.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines and assist with troubleshooting machine-related issues.
- Report food safety and quality issues to Plant Management.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of machines and work area.
- Follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
- Focus on fostering a continuous improvement environment.
- Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
