Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator for our Palmdale production facility. This position operates packaging equipment and maintains safety and quality standards on the 2nd shift (6 pm – 6:30 am).

Starting pay is $22.25 per hour, with weekly pay and eligibility for benefits after onboarding. Responsibilities include setting up machinery, performing Preventative maintenance, logging downtime, operating forklifts, and upholding housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work and communicate well with others
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $22.25 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Palmdale, FL!

_ 2nd Shift 6 pm - 6:30 am _

The Night Shift Machine Operator will be working at a Scott’s production facility operating various machines associated with the production of mulch and soil products.

What you’ll do in this role:
