Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a motivated Press Operator to operate molding presses and follow standard procedures. The role requires adherence to safety rules, accurate reporting, and ability to perform visual quality inspections.

Ideal candidates will be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain good attendance while meeting daily production targets in an Ohio facility.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with safety rules (SDS, PPE requirements, etc.).
  • Operates molding presses following standard procedures (understanding press packet).
  • Verifies job assignment and reports to assigned press at scheduled start time.
  • Understands and performs visual inspections per Quality Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate molding presses safely and according to procedures.
  • Identify and report non-conformities to shift supervisor.
  • Prepare and label production reports and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
  • Assist with palletizing finished goods per work instructions.

EssentialFunctions/Responsibilities:
  • Familiar with safety rules (SDS, PPE requirements, etc.). Operates in a Safe manner.
  • Operates various molding presses following standard procedures (understanding press packet)
  • Deflashes, inspects andpacks partsasneeded and palletizes finished goods correctly per work instructions
  • Reports any non-conforming issues to shift supervisor
  • KnowandunderstandQualityPolicy.Understandsandperformsvisualcriteriainspections.
  • Verifies questionable parts with quality staff
  • Fills out clean and legible reports (Scrap/ProductionReport,productlabels)
  • Clocks in/out for scheduled shift times
  • Verifies job assignment and reports to assigned press at scheduled start time
  • Respect co-workers, equipment and facility
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Maintains acceptable attendanceforeachmonth
  • Must beabletostandwhile operatingmachinery
  • Mustbe ableto push, pullandlift50 lbs.
  • Understands the difference between skill levels needed to progress through Operator I-III
