Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a diligent Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. You will operate equipment, inspect product quality, and assist with setup and maintenance to ensure smooth production flow.

This role requires attention to safety, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and to work standing for long periods in a non-climate-controlled facility. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with PPE compliance a must.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, ear protection).
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce products from raw materials.
• Inspect quality of products against standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist with setup.

Job Summary

Employee works under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager on routine duties following standard policies and procedures. Refers problems and questions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate equipment efficiently to produce products from raw materials to yard stage
• Inspect the quality of products according to standards
• Assist in maintaining accurate production
• Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment to detect and report malfunctions
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, perform preventive maintenance, and other functions associated with job changes
• Work with conveyors, ramps, elevators and other machinery
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out and CPM
• Willing and able to cross train on other aspects of the production process
• Ability to operate mobile equipment as needed
• Maintain a high level of accuracy
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least two years experience in a manufacturing organization
• Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal direction
• Ability to complete internal certifications
• Ability to wear all required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, ear protection
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Requires often lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, sitting, standing, climbing, reaching
• Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders while maintaining 3 points of contact at all times
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, including extreme heat and cold
