WITRON is seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our high-performance warehouse distribution team in Newport, MI. You will operate and monitor a state-of-the-art automated material handling system (MHE) to ensure efficient flow and uptime.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and collaboration with maintenance personnel in a fast-paced logistics environment. Safety, teamwork, and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or automated equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using computers, HMIs, or WMS.

Responsibilities

Machine Operator

WITRON is seeking motivated and dependable Machine Operators to join our high-performance warehouse distribution team. In this role, you will operate and monitor a state-of-the‑art automated material handling system (MHE) inside a fast‑paced distribution center environment. If you have a passion for automation, troubleshooting equipment, and warehouse operations, and enjoy solving technical problems, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in logistics and supply chain automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated material handling equipment (MHE) and systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults, system errors, and material flow issues
• Perform basic maintenance and system recovery tasks
• Clear product jams, packaging issues, and carrier obstructions within the system
• Support continuous warehouse automation operations to ensure efficiency and uptime
• Collaborate with team members and maintenance personnel to maintain system performance

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment (preferred but not required)
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, or automated equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable using computers, HMIs, or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment
• Effective verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
• Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 80–100 feet
• Able to work in varying warehouse temperatures

Work Environment

• Work includes time in cold storage and freezer environments (down to -10°F)
• Exposure to an industrial warehouse setting with automated systems
