Responsibilities
- Perform job functions to maintain efficiency of assigned machines to meet departmental and company goals.
- Conduct first articles on color and resin changes.
- Coordinate with Quality Control on production activities, such as held ware, isolation procedures, etc.
- Utilize the MATTEC production reporting system to control and improve processes, including downtime reports, SPC, SQC, etc.
- Adjust and maintain the bottle operation of conveying, flaming, robotic, and inspection systems on IBM machines.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and following manufacturer instructions and procedures.
- Continuously improve the efficiency of the IBM production department by refining existing processes.
- Work with the supervisor to direct activities of utilities and packers assigned to the group leader.
- Take ownership of assigned machines and lines.
- Contribute to team efforts.
- Support and adhere to all Berry safety policies.
- Follow and support all Berry GMPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to remember department and company policies and procedures, and recall multiple operations.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- One (1) year of experience in plastic blow molding or equivalent on-the-job training.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Work twelve (12) hours per day with breaks and overtime on short notice.
- Work safely around open flames, hot plastics, oil, and metals at high temperatures.
- Exposure to dust and odors from various substances.
- Noise level typically 90dB and above; ear protection required.
- Work around sharp machinery components.
- Wear PPE such as steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, and forearm sleeves.
- Occasional lifting of 10-50 lbs; ability to push/pull heavy molds.
- Stand for an average of 10 hours daily.
- Visual and color discrimination abilities required.
- Ability to hear alarms and recognize sounds.
- Bending and twisting at 90° about 50% of the day.
- Read and understand work procedures and instructions.
