Job description

Machine Operator

Location: Monroe, CT

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Job Duties:

• Use small hand tools to deburr, sand, and polish complex manufactured parts
• Remove scratches, burrs, and excess material to meet quality standards
• Operate automated tumbling equipment during the manufacturing process
• Read and follow shop job travelers and production instructions
• Use precision measuring tools to verify part specifications
• Track production times and communicate delays to supervisors
• Inspect parts for cosmetic and quality issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements

Requirements:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Understanding of deburring, sanding, polishing, and removing excess material from manufactured parts
• Ability to use basic precision measuring tools
• High degree of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work under a microscope for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to follow standardized work procedures and supervisor instructions
