Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based at General Plastics, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor plastic thermoforming and related production equipment to meet quality and output standards. Daily responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic measurements and inspections, and documenting production activity. The role involves following safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and performing routine equipment checks or minor preventative maintenance. Machine Operators collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules, identify issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing or production machinery, preferably in plastics, thermoforming, or a related industry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical drawings.
• Attention to detail with basic math and measurement skills for quality checks and documentation.
• Commitment to workplace safety, proper use of PPE, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift, in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with reliability in attendance and punctuality.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior manufacturing experience is beneficial but not always required.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new processes, and participate in training for continuous improvement.
