Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production/Operator to operate machines and lead line helpers on a day shift in Lithia Springs, GA. The role emphasizes safety, meeting productivity and quality goals, and following production orders.

Requirements include 1 year of experience in safe operation, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, basic computer skills, and strong communication. Overtime and weekend availability may be needed; forklift/crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience or equivalent in safe and efficient operation.
• Able to read a production order and follow procedures.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Basic computer skills (Email, Internet, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Operate machine and guide line staff to meet production goals.
• Maintain safe work environment and complete observations.
• Inspect equipment for safety.
• Read and interpret production orders.
• Meet productivity and quality requirements.
• Complete proper documents for produced materials.
• Communicate effectively with team, supervisor and management.
• Maintain promotability to Operator II/III.
• Stand/walk 8–12 hours daily.
• Work on ladders/equipment as needed.
• Adapt to outdoor conditions (hot, cold, rain, shine).

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements
• Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and completes observations
• Inspect equipment for safety
• Read and understand a production order
• Meet company productivity requirements
• Meet company and customer quality requirements
• Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
• Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management
• Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
• Standing and walking 8 to 12 hourseveryday
• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders
• Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience - understands and competent in all aspects of safe & efficient operation
• Includes all line equipment, processes, and procedures
• Detail and Quality Oriented
• Verifiable Dependability and Energetic
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills (Email, Internet, Excel, Word)
• Requires experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns
• Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
• Ability to lift up to 100pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Forklift and Crane a plus - Must be trainable
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
