Job summary

Phillips Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a leading manufacturer in Liberty, SC. You will join the secondary operations team and operate multiple machine types after training, ensuring parts meet specifications.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, productive team players who can stand for extended periods, follow a steel-toe/ESD shoe dress code, and work overtime when needed. You will load/unload parts, use gauges, adjust tools, and report quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of machines in the secondary operations department after training.
• Load/unload parts from machine as instructed by supervisor.
• Use gauges including dial calipers, depth gauges, plug gauges and others after instruction.
• Possess working knowledge of quality requirements for machined parts and operations.
• Change cutting tools (drills, taps, end mills, etc.) with minimal assistance from setup personnel.
• Perform machine adjustments with setup or supervisor's instructions.
• Recognize and report quality problems to supervisor.
• Sharpen cutting tools with setup personnel assistance.

Phillips Staffing is now hiring Machine Operators for a leading manufacturer located in Liberty, SC

Responsibilities:

• This position involves operating all types of machines and other duties in the secondary operations department after his or her supervisor has provided employee with proper training or instruction.
• Load/unload parts from machine as instructed by supervisor
• Use of standard gauges, including the following: dial calipers, depth gauges, plug gauges and special gauges after instruction has been provided.
• Possesses a working knowledge of quality requirements that pertain to the parts being machined and the operations being performed
• Changes cutting tools, drills, taps, end mills, etc., with minimal assistance from set up personnel.
• Able to perform machine adjustments with set up or supervisors’ instructions.
• Able to recognize and report quality problems to supervisor
• Capable of sharpening certain cutting tools with set up persons assistance

Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated
• Must be productive with the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work Overtime, as required
• Must follow the dress code: Steel Toe, ESD shoes are required, plant wide.

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift Available

Pay: $16.00/hr + $1.00 Shift Premium for 3rd Shift
