Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Machine Operator I in Las Vegas to set up and run production equipment following established procedures, ensuring accurate material handling and safe operations. You will secure supplies, feed the machine, and inspect outputs to meet quality standards.

The role requires at least 6 months in manufacturing, basic math skills, and a focus on safety. Training will cover procedures, safety rules, and production recordkeeping, with growth opportunities in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a production machine according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Feed and monitor the machine in a safe, efficient way.
• Stack and prepare finished products as required and label components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspection and report issues.
• Keep production records as required and verify materials and finished products meet standards.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.

Job Summary

Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation & Benefits Information

Pay Range: $18.00–$31.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Bonus: Eligible for discretionary annual bonus based on company and business‑unit performance.
