Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Manufacturing Helper for the night shift to assist operators in the safe operation of plastic extrusion equipment and to help produce quality products.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of factory experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. Overtime and weekend work may be required; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operators in the safe operation of plastic extrusion equipment.
• Monitor and inspect in-process work for conformance to quality standards.
• Weigh and record scrap daily and ensure proper storage of finished product.
• Follow production schedule and pursue housekeeping and 6S practices.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Helper assists the Operators in the safe operation of plastic extrusion equipment to produce quality products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
• Follow direction of the Operator once production schedule is obtained.
• Inspect work in process for conformance to quality standards advising Operator of any deficiencies.
• Make sure scrap is weighed and recorded daily.
• Bag bundles and stack.
• Take reclaim and neatly stack in repro area.
• Stack blanks in proper storage area.
• Move finished product to designated areas.
• Comply with Company standards with regard to housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
• Ability to help troubleshoot when problems arise.
• Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to routinely work in a “hot room” (up to 110 degrees F at times).
