Job summary

Electron Beam Technologies (EBT) in Kankakee, IL is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to safely manufacture high-quality welding cable and operate production equipment. This role requires at least two years of machine operating experience in manufacturing; non-experienced candidates are not considered.

Forklift or general labor alone do not meet the requirements. Experience with wire and cable or continuous manufacturing processes is preferred.

Qualifications

Experienced Machine Operator

Starting Pay: $20.00/hour+ (Based on Experience)

Experience Required

This is NOT an entry-level position.

Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates without qualifying machine operator experience will not be considered.

Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:

• Wire and cable manufacturing


• Continuous manufacturing processes

Forklift, warehouse, or general labor experience alone does not meet this requirement.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you'll manufacture high-quality welding cable by safely operating production equipment and using large production reels.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.


• Set up, monitor, and adjust machines to maintain product quality.


• Handle copper wire, reels, and raw materials.


• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.


• Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.


• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.


• Work closely with your team to keep production running efficiently.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding manufacturing position.

Employees must be able to:

• Stand and walk for 10 or 12-hour shifts.


• Frequently bend, stoop, twist, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.


• Lift up to 50 pounds.


• Work in a hot manufacturing environment.


• Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.


• Work at a fast pace while producing a quality product safely.

Schedule

Four (4) 10-hour shifts

Overtime is required based on production needs.
