Tramec Sloan – TS Iola Division is seeking a Machine Operator to assist in the setup, operation, and monitoring of machines to produce parts per specifications.

This role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and learning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a Monday–Thursday shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical or manufacturing background is preferred.
• Ability to read basic measurements (inches, millimeters).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper tooling is in place.
• Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance.
• Assist with basic machine setups and tool changes (training provided)

Position Summary:

Shift:
