Tramec Sloan – TS Iola Division is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will perform workstation or line-assembly operations to assemble components into a complete product, following established procedures.

The role requires basic reading and math, a High School diploma or GED, and at least 1 year in manufacturing. Shift is Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, with production needs potentially affecting schedule; on-site work with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED or equivalent experience, and minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic reading, math skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative maintenance.
• Perform a variety of highly repetitive hand operations to assemble components or units where procedures are clearly established and tolerances are maintained.
• Perform mechanized assembly operations requiring the use of hand or power equipment.
• Perform final assembly and in-process quality inspection of the end product.
• Demonstrate ability to operate any and all machines in the department at specified rates.
• Assists in scheduled physical inventory counts.
• Responsible for working in accordance with our documented Quality System and for ensuring that products meet customer specifications.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area following 5S principles and safety policies.

Position Summary:

The assembler is responsible for performing workstation or line-assembly operations to assemble components into a complete product.

Shift:

Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm but shift could vary based on production needs.
