Job description

The Machine Operator at Zephyrus Engineering Limited will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining complex machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality output. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to meet production standards. The Machine Operator will work closely with engineers and production managers to ensure project specifications are met accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Setup and Calibration:

Prepare machinery for operation by setting up, calibrating, and verifying that all components and materials meet production requirements.

- Operational Efficiency:

Operate machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules. Monitor performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.

- Quality Control:

Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, ensuring they meet the specified standards and tolerances. Report any issues or discrepancies to the production team.

- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery. Quickly troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.

- Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of production metrics, machine performance, and any maintenance or repairs conducted. Communicate daily with supervisors about any issues or improvements.

- Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

- Experience:

2+ years of experience as a machine operator in an industrial or engineering environment, preferably with experience in complex machinery.

- Technical Skills:

Familiarity with various types of machinery used in [relevant industry e.g., construction, manufacturing, engineering], along with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

- Attention to Detail:

Strong focus on quality control and precision to ensure products meet exact specifications.

- Problem-Solving Ability:
