Job summary

Senneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team in Houston. You will operate and maintain press brake machines to bend and shape metal components to precise specifications for high-quality doors and parts.

Typical shift is Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. You will read blueprints, set up machines, perform quality checks, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize production while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and protractors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal workpieces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machine settings and material requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings, including backstops, ram depth, and pressure, to ensure precision bending and forming.
  • Perform quality checks on completed workpieces, measuring dimensions and angles to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, and output.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
