Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator to run the sand molding line for aluminum castings. Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with potential overtime. Compensation is $16.50 per hour.

Job entails producing sand molds, maintaining equipment, and following PPE rules in a safe, clean work environment. Training will cover basic Air-Set molding principles and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/bend for long periods.
• English language communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce sand molds using semi-automated machinery and tooling.
• Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Keep Air-set mold line and work area safe and clean.
• Learn basic technical and chemical principles of Air-Set molding.
• Operate PPE as designated by the company.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Participate in training and continuing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Overtime as required.

Machine Operator

Use chemically treated sand to produce sand molds for the production of aluminum castings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce sand molds according to requirements, using semi-automated machinery and tooling provided


• Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good condition


• Maintain the Air-set mold line and surrounding work area in a safe and clean condition


• Learn the basic technical and chemical principles governing the operation of the Air-Set molding line


• Perform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the company


• Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranes


• Participate in training and continuing education


• Performs other duties as assigned


• Work overtime as required

Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED Or, relevant work experience


• Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour)


• Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)


• Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
