Job summary

earthfreshatl is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join our food production team. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient output and high quality products.

The incumbent will perform machine setup, pre‑op checks, and troubleshooting for daily runs, adhering to health and safety policies and following the Daily Production Schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse or Production environment.
• Food industry experience is an asset.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Flexibility to work overtime including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op checks and set up machines for daily production.
• Conduct minor troubleshooting to ensure machine operation.
• Promptly report major issues observed with the machine.
• Ensure correct packaging and traceability coding per Daily Production Schedule.
• Handle machine with care and keep it running efficiently.
• Perform general housekeeping in the work area at day end.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager/Coordinator.

OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our food production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining food processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The incumbent shall be mainly responsible for machine set-up, calibration, pre‑op checks and troubleshooting for daily production runs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience & Skills:
• 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse or Production environment
• Food industry experience an asset
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• A high degree of flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively/ability to stand for long periods of time during the workday

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform pre-op checks and set up machines for daily production
2. Conduct minor trouble shooting if required to ensure that the machine is running
3. Promptly report any major issues/ problems observed with the
4. Ensure that correct packaging and traceability coding are being used and that all special instructions on the Daily Production Schedule are being followed.
5. Handle machine with care and take required steps to ensure that it is running efficiently at all times.
